Types of Valorant agents-Duelists

In Valorant, the "Duelist" is one of the four agent roles available. The Duelist agents are designed to be self-sufficient and excel in 1v1 situations, making them ideal for aggressive playstyles. They are often the entry fraggers for their team, meaning they are the first to engage the enemy and attempt to create openings for their teammates.

The six Duelist agents in Valorant are:

  1. Jett: Jett is a highly mobile agent who can dash in any direction, allowing her to quickly reposition or dodge incoming attacks. She can also throw knives at enemies and create updrafts that propel her into the air.

  2. Phoenix: Phoenix is a fire-based agent who can create walls of flame to obscure sightlines and burn enemies. He can also heal himself and create a fiery clone that confuses enemies.

  3. Raze: Raze is an explosives expert who can deploy a variety of grenades to clear out enemy positions. She can also launch herself into the air and rain down explosive death from above.

  4. Yoru: Yoru is a master of deception, able to create fake footsteps and teleport short distances. He can also become invisible and deploy a flashbang that blinds enemies.

  5. Reyna: Reyna is a vampiric agent who can use her abilities to heal herself and gain temporary invulnerability. She can also create an orb that drains the life force of enemies and a second orb that makes her invisible.

  6. Neon: Filipino Agent Neon surges forward at shocking speeds, discharging bursts of bioelectric radiance as fast as her body generates it. She races ahead to catch enemies off guard, then strikes them down quicker than lightning.

Duelists are a critical part of any team composition in Valorant, as they are often the ones who create opportunities for their team to win rounds. They work best when paired with agents who can support their aggressive playstyle, such as Controllers or Initiators.

The Controller agents specialize in creating and manipulating space on the battlefield to control the flow of the game. They use their abilities to block sightlines, cut off enemy movement, and control chokepoints. The five Controller agents in Valorant are: Viper: Viper uses toxic chemicals to create poison clouds that damage and disorient enemies.
